Electronic Gaming Federation and Game Gym Team Up to Make Esports Training Accessible for Families
Potomac, MD, January 16, 2024 – Game Gym, an esports education platform, and the Electronic Gaming Federation (EGF), an esports competition provider, are today launching a partnership to make Game Gym’s training products available to EGF’s community of middle school, high school, and collegiate gamers, and their parents.
This partnership will allow EGF to offer subscriptions to Game Gym’s mobile training app, virtual private training for gamers, and educational sessions for parents to their community. It deepens EGF’s commitment to creating an esports ecosystem that values continuous education and healthy gaming.
“This partnership with Game Gym will provide the EGF community with powerful new tools to game better and smarter,” Tyler Schrodt, EGF Founder and President, said. “From middle school through college, better esports training is critical to gamer success, and parent education is also an important component.”
The Game Gym mobile app contains hundreds of workouts from certified coaches in games including Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, VALORANT, Rocket League, and Overwatch 2. Gamers can complete the structured workouts and accompanying practice checklist to earn gold and redeem that gold in the Game Gym store.
“From the MAEC to our partnership with Montgomery County Schools, our commitment has always been to make structured esports training available to as many young gamers and their families as possible,” Josh Hafkin, Game Gym CEO and Founder said. “By teaming up with EGF, we immediately expand the number of student gamers who can switch from mindless training on YouTube to structured training with Game Gym.”
Founded in 2015, EGF is a North American organizing body for formalized collegiate D-I esports and high school-level leagues. EGF’s youth, high school and D-I collegiate leagues are inspired by the best aspects of traditional sports to create opportunities for students and schools to engage and advance. Learn more at EGF.gg.
