Announcing the EGFH Season 11 Champions!
EGF is excited to announce the regional champions from EGFH Season 11! Hundreds of teams competed during the Season across all of the titles supported during the season which showcases incredible competitive feats from some familiar names who are no stranger to national championships to some new teams to the League eager to make a name for themselves. After distinguishing themselves in an 8 week regular season, the top teams moved on to the championships which concluded in Mid-January.
"It's a genuine honor to be able to serve our schools, their esports programs, and most importantly the students in the community and to see the growth of individual schools and students, some of which have started their esports journey with us. It's really humbling to be a part of that journey and it makes me so happy to see the hard work of the students pay off and to be recognized through our championships" said EGF Founder, Tyler Schrodt.
Teams who won their regional tournament in Season 11 receive an automatic invitation to the EGFH Championships which, for select game titles, are held annually at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, FL as part of a long-term relationship with the Walt Disney Co. Any team who didn't qualify by winning a regional tournament earn points towards an annual total, which combined with their results in the Spring can earn enough points to qualify as well.
All of us at EGF are incredibly proud of all of the teams who competed in Season 11 and we're so thankful for everyone who's chosen to compete with us as we continue to build a high school community where we can create meaningful experiences for our students.
